The Bridge Between Bhakti and Jnana

on

“To know God is to love God. Therefore the path of bhakti and of jnana are same (…)

The thought of God is divine favour, is by nature prasad or arul. It is by God’s grace that you think of God.” – Ramana Maharshi.

One of the misunderstood aspects of contemporary spirituality is the inability to build bridges or see connections between what are termed Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga.

Blinded by myopic sectarianism and poor education, people are unable to see the important connections between these paths. I call this “driving blind.”

This is even reflected in modern medicine where the Maya of specialization creates systems in which the different practitioners are completely unable to communicate and / or see the patient as an integral spiritual being.

Agni connects these paths and without Agni, Maya becomes entrenched. When the Shakti of Jnana Agni, Vivek Agni, and Iccha-Agni are cultivated, mysterious and beautiful doorways open between Jnana Yoga and Bhakti Yoga.

This topic will be the main theme of my upcoming book for Anathema Publishing Ltd.:

Desert Meditations: Gnostic Cartography(A Handbook of Agni Yoga)
